A late report but it may still be of interest. On December 16, 2017 I saw
a large (100+) group of Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch on the plateau at the top
of the Rock Island Grade east of Wenatchee. The large group was flying
across the sage-steppe and quite distant. A smaller group did land nearby
and gave me some nice photo opportunities.
