Tweeters,

This morning, when I could finally find the nest in the scope (even though it was already zeroed in on it), I had hoped to see her sitting on the nest, perhaps in torpor. I'm not sure if she left in the middle of the night or what, but as I looked at it I could see her hovering around the nest, with a light covering of snow. She inspected it with her bill and sat on a nearby branch. Sadly, she did not try to sit on her snow-covered throne.

I did see her feeding at the unfrozen feeders, landing beneath one on a metal hummer stakes post.

Hopefully, when this winter "wonderland" melts, perhaps she will try again. She made it through the previous rainy night, but this snow was a bit too much "fluff" for her to handle.

I just was glad to see her.
