Had a nice warm(ish) morning birding Blaine and Semiahmoo yesterday,
2/11. Good loon day, with common, Pacific and red-throateds all seen in
close proximity. The more unexpected bird of the day was an eared grebe
amongst the many horneds next to the pier in Blaine.
Not as many sea ducks seen, but reasonably good numbers of harlequin,
long-taileds and scoters (minus black) seen. Small group of canvasback
also noted in Drayton's harbor.
