Subject: [Tweeters] signs of Spring - swallows and robin song

Tweeters,

This morning we watched two male Tree Swallows gliding over our field and
landing on a couple of the swallow nest boxes. This is the earliest date
we've seen Tree Swallows arrive in nearly 15 years of keeping records here,
although we've seen them as early as Feb. 17 and 18 in other years, but some
years not until March 5.

Also, a robin was singing from the top of a conifer before sunset tonight,
the first full robin song I've heard this year.

Good birding, Bob Sundstrom
