I usually have ten to twelve Varied Thrushes that frequent our property

each winter. In mid-October, earlier than usual, I had two that hung

around for a week. I have not seen any in my yard since that time.


Today we were walking in Old Fort Townsend State Park and Varied Thrushes

were everywhere--we saw and identified at least a dozen and there were

other birds around which seemed to be thrushes, but it was too dark to

identify them.
