Several birders were up at Padilla Bay this morning looking for the falcated
duck among the wigeon flocks, without success. I stopped by south central
Kirkland on a detour home, and did find the mockingbird repeatedly chasing
two Steller's jays out of the large holly bush in the yard of 7805 124th Ave
NE, exactly as described yesterday. The house owner wasn't home, but the
next door neighbour spotted me in the street with binoculars and took me
back for a look.
