Our last bird for our two day trip was a Northern Shrike at the Wylie
Slough (new) parking lot about 4:00 PM yesterday 1/25. It was flying around
the parking lot, at one time landing less than 20 feet from me in one of
the small trees!
Driving out, we saw a pick-up truck fully engulfed in flames and sending
black smoke shy high on Fir Island road.
