Yesterday I the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River Trail and saw two Lewis's
woodpeckers. At first I was I unable to identify them (poor lighting, only
seen from the back) but after much research I can only conclude that they
were Lewis's. Large, dark, long beak, gray collar. Although I do not bird
by ear I did listen to the call on the interwbez, and it is the call I
heard.
