I just spent a few days there going over the usual roads, Mary Ann Creek,
Davies, etc.
The Mountain Bluebirds and Western Meadowlarks are ubiquitous. I saw only
one pair of Western Bluebirds and a mated pair of Great Horned Owls. I
heard a Great Gray Owl, but did not see it. No Pygmy Owl. I saw Gold
Finches near the feeders on Nealey Rd. It snowed just a skiff up here last
night. Most of the fields have snow still.
