Oh what a month away make. Flew back into Portland yesterday after a month
away filming in Cameroon and seems so too flew in a new migratory wave of
passerines pushing north. This morning's walk around home in North Portland
saw about two-dozen Western Tanagers in a flock, along with at least one
Black-headed Grosbeak. Other flocks included Warbling Vireo and Yellow and
Wilson's Warblers. All clearing heading north towards the Columbia R. and
Vancouver/Ridgefield NWR area.

Also of note if you are in the Vancouver area ? the Redhead (ducks) my wife
has seen for a week now at Vanport Wetlands are still there; bit of a
unusual bird to spot in our area.

Cheers
