Todd Sahl found a pair of Whimbrels this morning at the fields at 124th and Willow St. They were in the north field along the eastern edge when I left. It is a newly disced field. 124th is an extremely busy road, I parked on 141st on the westside of the fields. There is a pretty good vantage point. The LBDO was in main pond on the south side of the road along the leading edge. About 50 peeps on the west side of the main pond as well. A scope would be ideal, the only reason I found them is that they flew from one side of the field to the other. They blend in well and the heat haze didn't help. Good luck if you go for them.
