I banded one or two here in Olympia. We had a few at the feeders. I think it was the first ones we have seen here at the new place.

Hi all:

The Pine Siskins arrived at my feeders in east Marysville about a month ago ? traveling with the Goldfinches. Not the throngs of 30+ Siskins I?ve seen in years past, but maybe up to 10 so far this year. Lots of Goldfinches and House Finches, too.

I?ve heard a Swainson's Thrush from my yard for the first time in the 21 years I?ve lived in this house. They were the soundtrack to the summers of my youth!

Hello, tweets.

I have a Pine Siskin at a tube feeder in my yard right now, first one I have
seen in over a year. They seem to have been scarce in or absent from the
area this last winter, so I'm glad to see one again. Are they all over the
place now?
