This morning Connie and I had a some good shorebirds at Eide Road. Unusually there was a Black Turnstone in one of the flooded fields - not at all where you would expect to find a rock piper. There was also a Pectoral Sandpiper - unusual in spring, 3 breeding plumage Black-bellied Plovers, a few Western Sandpipers and 2 Least Sandpipers. Also at least 3 Spotted Sandpipers.


The shorebirds were seen in the flooded fields rather than the main ponds.


Also at least 8 Blue winged Teal.
