*Wednesday, November 1, 2017 (best day of week to avoid hunters)*

*Wawawai - Penawawa Birding Adventure*

*Leaders: Mike & MerryLynn Denny*

We'll meet in the parking lot at the Port Facility in Clarkston at 7:00
am - turn north off US12 Bridge Street) unto SR 128 north - turn left
into marina area - do not cross the Red Wolf Bridge over the Snake River.

We will drive up Wawawai River Rd in Whitman Co. along the Snake River -
stopping at all pullouts and riparian areas - to Wawawai County Park for
lunch. Then we?ll proceed up and around to Almota and Lower Granite Dam
with a side trip to Klemgard County Park. Back north and around to
Penawawa on the river. Will end the field trip at Central Ferry.

Focus will be on late migrants, possible vagrants and waterfowl. Owls
may be in the parks.

You will need to be able to walk 2 miles, have a full tank of gas and
plenty of food and water. Dress for the weather.
