I must write a full account of the unsuccessful chase for the Swallow-tailed Gull on Wednesday Sept 5 by Victoria and Calgary birders. We started with an erroneous posting stating it had been seen that morning at 8:38 am. We arrived at the pier at 11 am and the gull was not there and had not been seen by anyone up to that time with many birders having checked the pier, the nude beach, and further north walking from that location. We also heard someone had checked the pier in Everett. No one mentioned Carkeek Park so we checked that ours selves at 3 pm and the pier one last time at 5:00 pm. Everyone we meet had not seen it.

From the information I have it was thus last seen onTuesday Sept 4 at 2:30 pm. Has it gone or moved to another location.

Please keep everyone updated with positive and negative reports.
