I haven't compared the specification in awhile but it appears to me that Vortex and Eagle have been the same glass for several years. ?Just different color and logo and warranty which is the best there is. ?If it breaks or you break it other than intentionally they will fix it. ?You don't even have to the the person who purchased it. ?They don't ask. ?I've had several transactions with the Vortex side of things on the web and they have been flawless. ?I believe Eagle actually pre-dates Vortex and having two brands with the same products never made sense to me. ?I just hope Vortex isn't hanging it up. ?I have plans to buy one of their less expensive pair as a backup for the car. ?Guess I should go over and check. ??Ray Holden

According to their website (https://www.eagleoptics.com/pages/eagle-optics-service-information) Vortex will continue to honor the lifetime warranty on Eagle Optics and Atlas Optics branded products. The Eagle Optics Golden Eagles (8x42 and 10x42) are both on sale for $350, which is a really good price for those bins.

I highly recommend Eagle Optics binoculars. I used Rangers for over 10 years as my go to binocular for field work. The only thing is I guess now they won't come with a lifetime warranty.
Sad to see this great resource go out of business. I've been buying from them since 2004.

Tweeters newbie here, hope I am doing this right.
Thanks to Jeremy on the heads up about Eagle Optics.? I was able to get the Swarovski spotting scope objective I have been wanting for $400 off!? Everything appears to be marked down, you don't have to just choose from Eagle Optics brand products. ?

Hi tweeters,
Eagle Optics just posted on their Facebook page that they're going out of business. Consequently, they're putting most of their gear on sale.
I'm a binoculars novice and am wondering: is EO a good brand? Should I grab a pair at a marked down price?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Keep watching the skies,
