Mark your calendars! The Pateros Hawk Migration site has an annual
festival and it is coming up on 9/15-16 this year! I've been several times
and if you enjoy raptors or would like to see a working banding site, it's
a wonderful opportunity.

I can't speak to what the fire situation may be, of course, but as of right
now, there aren't any troubling hot spots near there as far as I know.
