Subject: [Tweeters] Spuh Etymology

The four-letter word(?) SPUH is used for difficult-to-identify groups of
birds, like the Epidonax flycatchers, or for distant birds that can't be
identified to species? Hawkwatchers regularly cope with this problem. Does
anyone know how this word came about? I assume it isn't an acroynm,
correct? I can't find out much about it. Curious.
