I birded Dash Point Dock and Browns Point in Pierce County Wednesday
afternoon (4/11). At Dash Point a pair of Red-necked Grebes in breeding
plumage were close to the dock, with a couple more further out. Three
Common Loons were further out and three male and one female Common
Mergansers flew by.
The highlight at Browns Point, was a pair of Marbled Murrelets close in at
the lighthouse. In addition, three Pigeon Guillemots were present. A
single Caspian Tern flew by and a Savannah Sparrow among the rocks was my
first in Washington State this year.

Good birding !

Hans
