Hi all,
Went through Washtucna yesterday right after a thunderstorm went through. Was surprised by a female Lesser Goldfinch there--adult bird alone, typical greenish grey plumage with dark grey conical beak and dark grey wing with the white window spot. This was about 5 pm in NE part of Bassett Park.
Nothing else out of ordinary there--Ruby-crowned Kinglet and some Butter Butts. Had all three April buteos (rough-legged, red-tailed, and Swainson's) in a 1/4 mile stretch about 5 miles east of there.
