For my pleasure the Discovery Park Northern Shrike was still in operation this am.. It is an adult and has become territorial, at least in the short term. It remains in a meadow area, perching at the top of a young Red Alder a sandy area occupied by sand wasps. It is gratifying in that this zone was one we had hoped would become part of a coastal oak prairie.
