Last two days had similar indicators on the WA side of the river after a virtual no-show winter into spring. Sunday 140+ at Shillapoo Lake fields off Lower River Road. Monday 100+ overhead at the south end of Ridgefield NWR, and 50+ encountered on the ground in two areas of the hunting zone of River S Unit, and another 100+ flying west toward the Columbia River over Bachelor Island.

Yesterday about 4:45 pm, roughly 550 Greater White-fronted Geese flew in migratory Vs westward over my yard in SW Portland, in low wet overcast conditions. 15 April seems about a week or two early for such flights here, if I'm recalling past dates right. - Jay Withgott, Portland

On Friday, April 13, around 7:15 pm, a flock of ~110 Greater White-fronted
Geese flew SOUTH directly over Tryon Creek State Natural Area.
