Hello Tweets,
Brad Waggoner had a very enlightening post on the topic of early Swainson's
Thrush reports a couple years ago.

I have found Brad's information to be correct. Swainson's Thrush are pretty
unusual before the very end of April in Washington and the early ones are
rarely singing. In years where migration is running a bit earlier than
average I have found them in Snohomish County as early as the 5th of May,
but if this bad west coast weather continues I'd expect them to show up
closer to the 10th.

Most of us now carry a great tool for capturing bird audio in our pockets:
our smart phones. If you hear something that seems a bit early you can use
an audio recording app or in a pinch even take a video while the bird is
calling or singing and there are plenty of birders who'd be willing to
listen.
