Audubon's Vaux's Happening project was able to document how many swifts roosted in Selleck last month. One night average was close to 100. The last two evenings with cooler temps and maybe the addition of some of this years fledged young there were twice that many.

Meanwhile, down in Chehalis, Rachel Hudson has caught the wee birds return to their ugly Prindle communal migratory roost.

To get a peek at how Vaux's deal with cooler temperatures in the roost click 'Live Stream is back!" on our website's home page. http://www.vauxhappening.org/ <http://www.vauxhappening.org/> If you miss it I can send you a screen shot. Listen for their electric fan with a bad bearing chatter.
