I don't know if any of you are coming up to Vancouver for the Vancouver International Bird Festival but hope that you are! There really are a lot of events going on and you'll all be welcome at the VARC booth at the expo. - The opening ceremony is definitely not to be missed if you are in town!

VANCOUVER INTERNATIONAL BIRD FESTIVAL - GRAND OPENING CEREMONY!

The festival begins with a jam-packed opening ceremony on Monday August 20th .


* A Parade of Birds, departing from Harbor Green park at 3.20pm, will come down the Seawall arriving at Jack Poole Plaza at 4.00pm
* Aeriosa Vertical Dance group will descend from the building;
* First Nations will deliver a greeting;
* Canada Post will the launch their new stamps and
* Vancouver Symphony Brass Quintet will play a specially written fanfare.

Join us in Harbor Green Park to be part of the parade or wait for their arrival at Jack Poole Plaza - but don't miss out.
