Except for hummingbirds and woodpeckers, my feeders have been almost empty of birds for the last few days: chickadees, goldfinches, song sparrows, Steller's jays, towhees, etc.

So, it's not my imagination! Others have noticed as well that the birds are just not around like usual. I still have a Black-Headed Grosbeak coming to my feeders and a sudden influx of House Finches. But it's definitely quieter and I rarely see birds in the air. Eerie absence of crows.
I look forward to their return!
