Hi, Tweets,

Not having seen today's reports, I checked the mouth of the Cedar River in Renton this afternoon. A Merlin perching near the water, watched by a kingfisher, probably kept shorebirds away. I did see one Bank Swallow among the Barns and Violet-greens over the lake. Awhile after the Merlin flew upstream, I did see a sandpiper: Least. Then first one, then a second Baird's Sandpiper walked into view. A bit later, I saw them flying away northeast, then noticed the Merlin back at a perch.
