Bad knee wouldn't let me go earlier to try for the Redstart. Feeling well enough to try today. If anyone else is in Neah Bay area today, maybe we can touch base.Blair

First, there was a Northern Wheatear found yesterday 8/27 by Tasha Dimarzio and Shelly Parker at Sunrise, Mount Rainier. The ebird checklist with a photo was submitted earlier today. I am unsure of any attempts to relocate it. This would be the 4th record of this species for Washington.

After no reports of the Painted Redstart at Cape Flattery since the original finding on 8/25, the 1st state record was relocated today 8/28 by an anonymous ebirder. I am not sure how many people have looked for the bird since the original finding, but great to know it is still around.

Good birding,
