Took a quick look out at the feeding area to see if any mountain quail were around. I was surprised to see two Band-tailed Pigeons feeding. They look to be in good shape for just having flow up from the north-western part of California. I am assuming these two are part of a larger flock that summers here and winters in NW CA. Glad I got some chicken scratch grains the other day. The pigeons love it and it's a nice extender for the mixed bird seed I put out.
