Hi Tweeters,This morning I was watching a typical male intergrade northern flicker with red shafts, when a female arrived at my feeder.  I watched her for a few minutes before noticing that the shafts under her tail (she was perched, I didn't get a good look at her flying) were YELLOW.  This is the first flicker I have seen at my home in Bothell with yellow shafts.  So, is she an intergrade or a yellow-shafted northern flicker?  Link to her photo:
