Hello Tweets,

I was driving home from birding when I saw a flock of small finches fly up into a catkin-laden alder along Beacon Ave. at Horton St. I parked and walked around, but could not relocate the flock. Views were insufficient for ID but shape and giss screamed Redpoll. Bears investigation! I'm not as sad about it because I saw redpolls in Ravenna this morning, but it still would have been nice to confirm my own self-found birds. Ah, the joy of birding!
