Hi Tweets - Today after lunch, I scoped the Edmonds waterfront, first from the fishing pier (parking to the north, off the west end of West Dayton St.) and then from Sunset Ave. Both Pacific and Red-throated Loons were present (Pacifics were just beyond the tethered "cormorant" log in the underwater park off Sunset) along with a large number of Horned and Red-necked Grebes. To the north from Sunset, there were 4 Black Scoters and 4 Harlequin Ducks, both fairly reliably found here. The only alcids (disappointingly) were Pigeon Guillemots which seem to like to hang out in the ferry wake, while it's docked. Several other of the usual suspects also present. Happy Birding - Jon Houghton, Edmonds
