We went down to Swanson Lakes Wildlife Area south of Creston, WA to check the progress of migration. There is finally some mud, though the lakes still have more water than I've seen at this time of year since the late 90's. Species marked with an asterisk had young with them

The list includes:
Eastern Kingbird

Tree Swallow*
Sage Thrasher
Red-winged Blackbird*
Yellow-headed Blackbird*

Brewer's Blackbird*
European Starling
Pied-billed Grebe*
Eared Grebe*

Ruddy Duck
Mallard*
American Wigeon
Northern Shoveler
Cinnamon Teal

Green-winged Teal
Redhead

American White Pelican
American Coot*

Killdeer

Greater Yellowlegs

Lesser Yellowlegs
Spotted Sandpiper

Long-billed Dowitcher
