Here's a shout-out on PSBO's Beginners' Banding Class. There've been many 'spin-off' rewards from our course's focused, supervised "bird in hand" encounters (magical by the way). Here's a photo collage <https://www.flickr.com/photos/rkclf/35893735904/in/album-72157684397439902/> from 2016.

Greetings birders.
We still have a couple of spaces left in our beginners banding class being held at the Willow Creek Hatchery in Edmonds the last two weekends in August.
Once you learn to band, you will never look at birds the same again. (Instead of saying, "That's an American Robin.", most banders will say, "That's an American Robin, male, adult.")
Besides, it is awesome to safely hold a living entity, knowing that the information you personally collect could help save the environment, and stop-overs that that species requires.
For more info, and /or to sign up, go to www.pugetsoundbirds.org <http://www.pugetsoundbirds.org/> (Enrollment is found using the "Training" tab.)
Good birding to all, and may all your birds be identified.
