I saw a dark morph of a Swainson's Hawk in the most unlikely of places yesterday, on a hwy 205  sign near the Vancouver Mall exit. It was a beautiful gray bird, rather slender in build, with white undertail coverts. I could not see the tail as it was hidden by the sign.
