At one point yesterday there was one bird perched just above the nest ledge and I saw 3 others in flight. Of course one or more of the flying birds could have been adults. Right now there's one bird perched above the nest and another that flew up and landed as I was watching. With mediocre binoculars looking through office window glass it's hard to make out much detail, but I think both are juveniles. I'm cautiously optimistic based on yesterday's observations that all 4 young are still alive.

There's a link below to a photo of the building from my vantage point. The green circle is the nest location and the red circles are the birds that are sitting there now (or were 20 min ago). Sorry, it's just a cell phone photo from a block-plus away.

I'm probably repeating myself, but I'll add that it's amazing to get to see these magnificent birds in the middle of a huge city. Thanks to Ed and others who make it possible.

Best,
Warren

In the early years of the project we had rooftop access to several buildings and were mostly unable to keep track of them, so have ceased trying to follow them. At this point "no news is good news" but most years some of them spend time at PAWS or join the Burke Museum collection. Wish them luck.
