2018 Beginning Banders training
AUGUST 17, 18, 19 PLUS the following weekend Aug 25 and 26th, (specifically designed for people who want a class on weekends)
Five full days of classroom/field instruction give students the opportunity to learn how to safely extract birds from mist-nets, proper banding techniques and the importance of accurate collection and documentation of data.
Announcing our fourth year of teaching Puget Sound Bird Observatory's Beginning Banders training at the Willow Creek Hatchery in Edmonds, Washington where on-site native plant gardens and the nearby Edmonds Marsh support a variety of resident and migrating birds.
Instruction follows the North American Banding Council (NABC) guidelines, and focuses on the usage of the Pyle Guide, part 1 .
