I frequently go to the McNary NWR. Take Hwy 12 across the Snake River then the first left onto Hwy 124 then a right onto S Lake Rd just over a mile down 124. Cross the Burbank slew and the refuge headquarters is on your right. There is a great building/blind made for watching birds and a trail around the end of the slew. If you look at the map you may think you can stay on 12 and get to the refuge quicker; there isn't an exit. If you don't turn onto 124 you will go miles down 12 to turn around.

Good luck,
Wally Davis

Hi Birders,
Reviewing my Birders Guide to WA, but would appreciate some "don't miss" spots for limited time in the area. (This time of year...) Thanks.
