Last year there was a die-off of waterfowl, shorebirds and blackbirds
behind Tyson slaughterhouse on Dodd Rd in Walla Walla County. Hundreds
of birds - so sad. Cause - botulism. Fish and Wildlife collected all the
birds.

The ponds are still there - and it could happen again as it warms up.
