The individual who photographed the Gyr has stated that he took the photos on the beach at Ocean Shores. So anyone looking for it should look in that vicinity and not on the Long Beach Peninsula. This information is more consistent with information from Coastal Raptors that the birds was banded at Ocean Shores.
