Hello all,
I ventured out today hoping for a few yearbirds - the only new arrival
was one Caspian Tern on the Walla Walla River delta. Lots of Dunlin and
a few Killdeer but no other shorebirds as yet. And no Cinnamon Teal or
White-throated Swift. Violet-green Swallows are back at the cliffs.
Had the 3 Golden-crowned and 1 White-throated Sparrow at the Millet pond
- where they spent the winter. Did not find Russ's Swamp Sparrow.
Sunny but a cold wind all day - passerines were not very active except
for Meadowlarks which were singing all day.
Happy spring birding, MerryLynn
