Eric Edgerton and I saw a Lapland Longspur in Skagit Bay Estuary, WDFW Water Access Site, straight west of Rawlins Rd. It was pretty skittish, but I got photos of what I believe is a male with incomplete plumage wear (the "black" on head was mottled gray, but did extend down front of throat). We were there from 2:30 - 3:00pm, Tues, 3/20/18, and the bird was within 50 or 100 feet of Rawlins Road, flitting in the grass along the narrow water channel, occasionally perching up on a log for a moment. First LALO we've seen!
