Linda,
I was at Potholes State Park north of Othello last week, and on Tuesday evening from about 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. hundreds of Sandhill cranes were flying west over the lakes and marshes north of Frenchman Hills Road (which is a few miles west of the park). Some settled into the stubble west of Dobson Road for the evening.

Do any of you know details about the Sandhill crane stopover near Othello
this year?  I know the festival was last weekend, but I don't know anything
about the timing of this year's fly-through.
