> I am not able to access Tweeters right now, but I was hoping you could relay a message. I saw a Hudsonian Godwit today at Bottle Beach. It was not present when the first group of birds (86 Red Knots, Short-billed Dowitchers, Greater Yellowlegs) arrived when the tide began to fall at about noon. However, by 1:40 a group of 39 knots and some other shorebirds arrived from the east along the shore; the godwit was in this group. By that time the water line was about 200 yards out from shore and the godwit was just off the far end of the cluster of piling stubs; it worked generally westward in shallow water only about 100 yards before all flushed at 3:03. The knots circled around and resettled, but the yellowlegs and the godwit split off and did not return. It was closely associated with Greater Yellowlegs, Black-bellied Plovers, and Short-billed Dowitchers while foraging.
