Powerful stuff, Dan. Thanks!

Would recommend Cat Wars by Peter Marra, ornithologist at the Smithsonian, and Chris Santella, for a full discussion. Pet cats would be safer and live twice as long indoors, and exotic ferals have no place in North America and other areas where their prey did not evolve along with them.

I've been very disheartened by the cat feeding stations near the fishing pier at Westport in the last couple of years, and cats are almost always present there now.

Tweeters,
"Cat lovers ar Google threatened native owls with support for feral felines"
They noted Feral cats and direct contact between golf balls and Burrowing owls.
