Hello Tweets,
Carol Ray and I made an impromptu stop at M Street in Auburn this evening to watch thousands of crows returning to their roost, and surprisingly found a flock of 27 Sandhill Cranes in the field at the north end of M Street. They stayed about 20 minutes and then flew toward the east. A few minutes later we saw and heard them circling in the darkness near Emerald Downs. I thought I'd let folks know in case anyone wants to go by in the morning to see if they roosted there last night. In addition to that fun treat there were some Snow Geese among the thousands of Cackling Geese in the field.
Good birding,
Andy McCormick
