As my sister lives in Hoquiam now, I'm out there outside the standard birding seasons for that area, picking up unexpected birds here and there. This morning was no exception. Along Paulson Rd, in a flock of chickadees and kinglets, I spotted an apparently wintering Wilson's Warbler. At the ponds, all four reasonably expectable goose sp. huddled together for photos. Biggest surprise was along the road that dead-ends at the treatment facility: a FLOCK of Palm Warblers! 3 seen at same time, and possibly a fourth heard. No more than one would pose for photos in the same frame, unfortunately.
