Hello, Tweets,

This morning not long after dawn, Spencer H. and I saw the Harris's Sparrow found yesterday in Discovery Park: in shrubs just west (downhill) of the middle of the road along the west edge of the "parade ground." That's the large mowed field downhill from the giant white spherical tower west of the south parking lot.

We also had three sightings of a Short-eared Owl high and out over the Sound, a pair of Trumpeter Swans overhead at West Point, one or two Western Meadowlarks, a couple of ravens (one eventually flying west over the point toward Bainbridge Island). Mammals included a chipmunk and Steller's sea lion.

In the afternoon, we continued to the Ballard locks, where we did eventually see the continuing Great Egret around and down in the drained large locks a couple of times.
