While walking the Oaks to Wetlands Trail at Ridgefield NWR early this
afternoon, scolding jays alerted me to the presence of a lifer NORTHERN
SAW-WHET OWL. It took several minutes to figure out where the owl was, I
posted several semi-decent pictures on the Western Washington Birders
Facebook page.

I also found one of the GREAT HORNED OWLs along the Auto Tour Route on the
River "S" Unit, there is not much water there although the channels are
full.
