Subject: [Tweeters] Townsend's Solitaire Island County
Date: Sun Nov 11 18:46:00 PST 2018
From: Anthony - birds at ocbirds.com

A TOWNSEND’S SOLITAIRE was seen while walking down Maple Grove Road toward
the boat launch.

The coordinates posted on my ebird report can be better defined by using
these coordinates: 48°15'09.7"N 122°31'01.3"W
simply by copy and pasting the entire string at maps.google.com.

I apologize for anyone that saw an earlier report that was accidentally
mis-tagged Townsend’s Warbler, that was corrected shortly thereafter.

The silhouette was noted while viewing the cliff side of the roadway facing
north towards Whidbey Island. The bold eye ring was most apparent as was
the plumage, size and shape. I had good views for about 10 seconds before
the Townsend’s Solitaire took off.

I have a suspicion this may be the same individual that hung around last
year near Scenic Ave (due west of this location).

As a side note, a Barred Owl was resting just above 516 Maple Grove for
quite some time

The time frame for both was between 2:40 and 3pm
